Grade 12 (Accountancy and/ or Mathematics)
Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree)
2 -3 years relevant finance administration experience, including strong reconciliation experience
Previous experience within a retail environment would be advantageous
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Strong administration knowledge and ability
Good knowledge of financial administration and basic accounting principles (debits, credits, journals, reconciliations) and their application (finance systems)
Computer skills, intermediate to advanced Excel
Communication skills (verbal and written)
Interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Attention to detail
Above average numerical ability
Deadline driven
Analytical thinking
Ability to work under pressure
Able to deal with large volumes of work
Key Responsibilities:

Treasury & Cashflow management:

Perform daily cash flow duties in accordance with agreed upon procedures
Record daily bank account movement on bank summaries
Prepare and capture monthly bank journals (SA, BLNS countries)
Bank reconciliation:

Review of monthly bank reconciliations
Query, resolve and journalise reconciling items
Communication reconciling items across teams
Filing & Administration:

Daily & monthly filing duties
Downloading of on-line electronic bank statements for all bank accounts
Filing of financial information and documentation in line with statutory and legal requirements. (e.g. Electronic & Manual Bank statements & Cash flow documentation)
Perform bulk sale bank deposit confirmations for stores (upon stores’ request).
