Job Description:

The Learnership Programme at Clicks is a structured learning experience that aims to equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a qualified Pharmacist Assistant. Throughout the programme, you will complete a National Certificate in Pharmacy Assistance Learnership (Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant) and a Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (Learner Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant) through the accredited Pharmacy Healthcare Academy. This comprehensive programme consists of both theoretical and practical components and leads to a qualification that is registered on the National Qualification Framework (NQF).

As a Learner in this programme, your objectives will include:

• Successfully completing the Learnership Training Contracts at a registered Clicks Pharmacy under an approved tutor.
• Attending required training interventions and successfully completing competency assessments.
• Submitting a Portfolio of Evidence to showcase your progress and achievements.
• Providing support to the healthcare team in one of Clicks’ Pharmacies, working under the supervision of a registered Pharmacist within the legal scope of practice defined by the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC).

Minimum Requirements: To be eligible for this Learnership Programme, you must meet the following qualification requirements:

• Completion of Grade 12 with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics (or 60% in Mathematical Literacy).
• 50% in English.
• A Pass in Life Science (Biology)/Physics.

Skills, Abilities, and Job Related Knowledge: In addition to the qualification requirements, Clicks is looking for individuals who possess the following skills and competencies:

Preference will be given to individuals who meet the company’s Employment Equity (EE) targets as outlined in their employment equity plan and contribute to the national development of unemployed youth.

Work Back Agreement: Successful applicants will be required to enter into a work back agreement, committing to work for Clicks as a qualified Pharmacist Assistant for a period equal to or longer than the duration of the learnership period.

Contractual Hours: The contractual hours for this position are 45 hours per week, spread across 6 days.
