Salary: R18,000.00 – R20,000.00 per month

VA Central Ltd is currently assisting a UK-based client in their search for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to join their team. This is a remote position that offers full-time employment.

As a Social Media Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement effective social media strategies for the client. By doing so, you will enhance their online presence and contribute to the improvement of their marketing and sales efforts.

Key Responsibilities: (This is not an exhaustive list)

  • Conduct research to gather content for social media platforms.
  • Create engaging and visually appealing content for social media posts and stories.
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule.
  • Develop, implement, and manage the client’s social media strategy.
  • Oversee and manage content across various social media platforms.
  • Measure the success and impact of each social media campaign.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and emerging technologies.
  • Utilize social media marketing tools like Hootsuite and Canva.
  • Monitor competitors’ activities and provide feedback to management when necessary.
  • Adhere to relevant rules and regulations.
  • Create and manage paid campaigns on platforms such as Facebook Ads.
  • Drive organic reach by engaging with local groups and communities.
  • Manage social media headers as required.
  • Respond promptly to comments, likes, and messages on all social media platforms.
  • Upload blogs to the website and promote them through social media.
  • Perform video editing tasks as necessary.

Qualifications and Key Skills:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Social Media Associate or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in content design using software like Adobe, Canva, or others.
  • Experience in video editing.
  • Excellent knowledge of various social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+, etc.
  • Strong multitasking, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good time-management abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

Hardware Requirements:

  • Access to a personal computer or laptop.
  • Reliable ADSL/FIBRE internet connection.
  • Headphones for use with the VOIP phone system.
  • Installed antivirus software.
  • UPS/Back-up battery to handle power outages.

Working Hours:

The working hours for this role are from 09:00 to 18:00 UK Time.

Salary: R18,000.00 – R20,000.00 per month
