Purpose of the Job: To assist the pharmacist in dispensing and performing pharmacy-related administrative duties.

Key Performance Areas include:

Stock control,
Dispensing under supervision of a pharmacist
Administration
Housekeeping

Job Objectives:

Ensure proper storage of stock and maintain stock rotation
Dispensing of medication under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist
Related administrative tasks pertaining to document flow and housekeeping tasks

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification – Preferably, English and Mathematics as subjects.

Knowledge and Skills:

Dispensing knowledge
Knowledge of dispensing systems and ordering systems
Computer literacy – MS Office skills
Good language skills – fluent in English and at least one other official language would be advantageous
Very good interpersonal and customer skills
High level of attention to detail
Sound numerical skills
