About Sasol Mining
Sasol Mining operates six coal mines that supply feedstock for our Southern African intertwined value chain. The coal supplied to Secunda Synfuels Operations (SSO) is substantially used as gasification feedstock and some is used to induce electricity. The coal supplied to Sasolburg Operations ( SO) is used to induce electricity and brume. We also export coal from the Twistdraai Export Plant to transnational power generation guests via the Richards Bay Coal Terminal.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB

An Artisan/ Senior Artisan is responsible for the operation of the conservation process in the area of responsibility, to enable mining brigades to reach product targets within the principles of the QCDSM.
FUNCTIONAL Labors
Manage control and maintain outfit in area of responsibility
Safety operation and threat assessment
Insure that Bobbies and Bribes are understood and stuck to
Identify ISO norms
Accurate and realistic conservation and overall plan and budget
Insure maximum vacuity and trustability of outfit
Conformance to all legal statutory and Sasol conditions
Give specific moxie and in- section coaching and training and complex repairs
Estimate help training needs schedule for training
Coachsub-ordinates towards conditions for coming loftiest position
Conditions Qualifications and moxie needed (Must)
Grade 12/ N3 (or original) both with Maths, Science and English/ Business English
NQF 4 Trade Test ( Valid EM Trade Test Certificate – Good EM/ Millright)
Honey proofing and gas testing where applicable
Fault finding experience
Knowledge of the work operation process and perpetration thereof ( want)
Understand and use the factory/ mine conservation attestation system, etc job cards, task list announcement
Understand failure modes of discipline specific outfit
Computer knowledgeable ( want)
Coal Mining Underground experience ( Fiery mine experience) is an added advantage
Experience of caddies and Telemetric’s will be at your advantage.
