Job Description:
Shrink wrapping, strapping and transporting, storage, and the application of Barcode labels onto finished goods

• Putting top frame and layer pads on finished cans.
• Operating automatic shrink wrapper machine
• Operating manual and automatic strapping machine.
• Creating Bar-code labels for finished cans
• Check the machine is operating correctly
• Ensuring only good quality cans are packed onto the pallets
• Ensuring that the correct packing configuration is applied
• Ensuring availability of wrapping/strapping material and pallets online to avoid stoppages
• Stick correct label onto pallets
• Pull and place pallets at takeaway isle
• Ensure that correct packing equipment is applied
• Ensure that all health and safety standards procedures are adhered to at all times
• Ensure work order, quantity and design are correct
• Ensuring that housekeeping standards are maintained.

Job Requirements:

• Gr12 certificate or equivalent
• Knowledge of Can construction (advantageous);
• Computer literate, JDE experience would be advantageous
• Must be able to work under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills/ team player
• Attention to detail and ability to communicate well
• Valid Forklift license
• Must be quality and safety aware
