Responsibilities:

As a Cadet in the Process Learnership Programme with Anglo American, you will be actively involved in supporting our teams in performing the following duties:

• Manually operating equipment, including the operation of valves, manual sampling, and stopping operations if working conditions are unsafe.
• Providing assistance to team members when required.
• Conducting safety inspections on plant and equipment.
• Executing basic operational procedures as required and following instructions from supervisors diligently.
• Facilitating open two-way communication within the team.
• Maintaining good housekeeping within the workplace.
• Adhering to and improving safety standards.
• Participating in safety meetings.
• Starting and stopping equipment as necessary.
• Proactively identifying hazards and threats to the process.
• Completing data logging and reporting according to established standards.

Requirements:

To be eligible for the Cadet Process Learnership Programme, candidates should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification with passes in English, Mathematics, and Physical Science, achieving a minimum of 40% in each subject.

Skills and Competencies:

• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Basic computer literacy skills are advantageous.
• South African citizenship is mandatory.
• Candidates must be medically fit.
